Modular Classes

students in class

The first and second year programs at CLBI are organized in a modular format where every week a new module is studied intensively for five days.  By the week’s end the module is complete and a new one is offered the following week.  Each module is worth one credit.  This format allows courses to be taught by quality instructors from across North America.

Courses fall into one of the following categories:

  • Biblical Studies
  • Christian Life
  • Church History
  • Biblical/Doctrinal Theology
  • Mission and Communication
  • Practical Ministries
  • Leadership Development

Another aspect that is emphasized in CLBI’s programming is worship. Students are encouraged to think about worship holistically, learn how to plan God-centred worship, and gain skills to lead worship pastorally. Those who desire to develop in the area of worship leadership have many opportunities to do so and can choose to take a year-long class in leading worship.

In addition there are several aspects of the programs that encourage students to gain practical experience for ministry. These opportunities are both part of the program and extra-curricular.
